Grant Programs Now Open! 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened the FY 2026 Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) and FY 2026 Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP) with approximately $13.84 million available for each program.

Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP)

 

$13.84 million available | 25% match Application Due June 5, 2026

FMPP supports direct producer-to-consumer markets, which include farmers markets, CSA programs, roadside stands, agritourism, and online sales. This program is focused on direct sales channels.

Four project types are available: Capacity Building ($50K–$250K), Community Development Training and Technical Assistance ($100K–$500K), and two Turnkey tracks (Marketing and Promotion; Recruitment and Training, each $50K–$100K).

Local Food Promotion Program (FMPP)

LFPP supports intermediary food businesses that aggregate, process, distribute, store, or add value to locally and regionally produced products. This program focuses on the infrastructure behind local food systems rather than direct sales.

Project types include Planning ($25K–$100K), Implementation ($100K–$500K), and two Turnkey tracks (Marketing and Promotion; Recruitment and Training, each $50K–$100K).
