Notice of Upcoming Copper Sulfate and Magnacide (Acrolein) Treatments

 

Copper Sulfate

North Unit Irrigation District will be conducting a district-wide chemical treatment using (Copper Sulfate Crystals) on Friday, July 10th beginning @ 5:00 am.
If you are above Haystack and you do not want the treated water you will need to turn off on Friday, July 10th and you may order water again for Monday, July 13th.
If you are below Haystack and you do not want the treated water you will need to turn off on Thursday, July 9th and you may order water again for Monday, July 13th.

Magnacide (Acrolein) Treatment

North Unit Irrigation District will also be conducting a district-wide treatment using Magnicide (Acrolein) on Wednesday, July 15th and Thursday, July 16th beginning @ 5:00am.
If you are above Haystack and you do not want the treated water you will need to turn off on Wednesday, July 15th and you may order water again for Friday, July 17th.
If you are below Haystack and you do not want the treated water you will need to turn off on Tuesday, July 14th and you may order water again for Saturday, July 18th.

Both these treatments are hazardous to fish and animals. The turnaround time in which you may safely use the irrigation water once the treatment is completed, which is 48 hours.
